Kentucky Affordable Housing Conference is deemed “HUD-approved” Per HUD (Community Planning and Development Division) KAHC is approved as a potential eligible cost but will be dependent on the HUD-awarded grants held by the attendees. The eligibility is dependent on the individual grant budget and how the training is related to the work being completed within the HUD-awarded grant. For example, if grantees have an HMIS dedicated grant, or a line item in a project budget, they could use HMIS funds to send someone who works with HMIS in their community; they could also use CoC and/or ESG funds to send staff to attend the related sessions. For monitoring purposes, all attendees should ensure they have an agenda for their records to document how the conference applied to staff working for HUD programs.
